Many colleges require a mid-year report from high schools. Most colleges don't even give admissions decisions until March or April, so they ask counselors at high schools to send the mid-years by February.

Cisco SMARTnet is a maintenance contract to cover Cisco hardware and software. This is achieved by Cisco but is usually sold by an authorized Cisco reseller. Typically the contract period lasts for one year while Cisco will provide discounts for longer contracts.

Most Cisco devices running an operating system of Cisco IOS which is constantly updated and improved there are only two (legal) ways to get software updates to IOS a purchase every time it changes and secondly to take from the SMARTnet contract for your product and download all updates for it as they exit.

Currently each unit of Cisco hardware category assigned numbers from 1 to 18 the higher the category the higher the cost of coverage.
