What exactly is the difference between "clean risk" and "delete risk" in Symantec AntiVirus?
I have windows xp.
Under: (Start > Symantec AntiVirus > Configure > File system Auto-Protect > Actions > Fist Action) there are 4 options in the drop-down menu including "clean risk" and "delete risk".
-What is the difference between clean risk and delete risk?
-Is there any danger in choosing "delete risk" option?

Clean means to repair the file damage by the virus.
Delete means to remove the file permanently so that virus won't spread to other files.
Usually, the first action is clean and the second is quarantine/delete.
Symantec live update is faulty and sometimes a faulty update will break the auto update cycle. You will need to un-install and re-install Symantec to get auto update again.

AP also reported that Fiola's is not using updated antivirus software for his computer that's why it was not protected from malware.
