Remove Norton Antivirus 2009 with the uninstaller and Removal Tool not responding?

I recently installed Norton AntiVirus 2009 with Antispyware and I absolutely hate it. So I tried to use the Remover Tool to get rid of it, but it just sat at the screen that says it's gathering what needs to be deleted for two hours. I checked in Task Manager and it said the remover tool was not responding. So I tried removing norton with the Add/Remove part of the control panel, that brought up the uninstaller and sat at a similar screen as the remover tool for a similar amount of time and was also not responding. I have tried both methods several times.

So my question is, how else am I supposed to get this virus Norton sells as an "AntiVirus" off my computer?

Don't any of you just put a link to the remover tool.

What may be happening is possibly a trojan of some sort is blocking some of Norton's functionality. Now based on personal experience, I know that previous versions of Norton used more and more RAM. So it could also be that the program is using too much.

So here are my suggestions.

1. Download Spybot Search & Destroy and run a scan and see if trojans exist. if so clean them. Try to uninstall.
2. Try and increase the size of your page file. (right click on my computer, properties, settings in the performance section). Once done try to install again.

Any clue why Norton antivirus 2009 is saying that myebay is attacking my computer every time I try to get on?

I used Ebay just fine the other day. I have a week old Dell computer....I just installed Norton on SUnday so I am unfamiliar with how Norton works. I also have the Norton antispyware and the Vista Firewall. But,it is norton that keeps giving the message
