Is It True That Windows 7 Has That Annoying Vista Thing Of Asking For Your Permission For Every Action?

Jack M How can you be using Windows 7 for 6 months when it has only just been launched?

The User Account Control (UAC) thing is still present.

However, it has variable settings so you can adjust how frequently it pops up better, and even if you leave it on it's not as annoying. And you can utterly disable it if you want.

(And the Windows 7 beta was out to the public in January, the Release Candidate came out in May, and the RTM version technically became available to some subscribers, etc., in July. Someone could have easily been using Windows 7 for 6 months if you go back to the RC release, at which point it was feature complete.)
