Maybe the drive is formatted in the OSX format, in which case Windows wont recognise it.
Copy the contents of the drive to your Mac, In OSX Disk Utility application, format the drive to the FAT or FAT 32 file system. This will remove everything on the drive, so back up first!

HFS+ file system of Mac OS X has replaced its predecessor HFS file system because of support to the larger files, better data manageability, Unicode support to name files and folders, data protection, improved design and many alike. Also known as HFS+ and HFS Extended file system, it is comprised of various data structures that together constitute to create the HFS+ file system.
