How to hook up my HDTV to my Computer.?
This TV isn't a typical HDTV. It is a CRT Direct View HDTV. The Model number is Toshiba 26HF84A. I've tried direct cables, but nothing but a blurr appears. I'm guessing this has something to do with the framerate on my videocard vs. the framerate on my TV. I believe all CRT's can display is an interlaced image, making the Framerate 30FPS. My video cards lowest refresh rate is 60Hz. I was wondering if there is anything like an external box, or a videocard that can support 30Hz, or if there is anything else for a quick fix. I've seen some external boxes, but they sell for like $300 CAD, almost as much as the set itself! If worse comes to worse, I'll pick up one of those boxes, but hopefully you guys can give me some insight. I have a GeForce 7300GS 512MB video card, and it is entirley capable of displaying resolutions of HD content. I couldn't find the manual for the TV but if it has a DVI or VGA connector on it then it should work fine. If it doesn't, then you will need the box you refer to.
